I recently had the opportunity to travel to New Orleans for my annual Coaching conference and it was the trip of a lifetime! I bonded with the rest of my team, heard from amazing speakers like Chalene Johnson, Brendon Burchard and Darren Hardy, and was inspired by the stories of people who have changed their entire lives because they took a chance.
A few of the highlights of this trip for me were:
The Super Workout in the streets of New Orleans- they shut down 3 blocks in front of the Superdome and me and 20,000 other coaches lined the streets at 6 am for a Super Workout with all the trainers. To say this was incredible would be an understatement. I was empowered, I was in awe of the size of our group and what it represented and I was amazed that after only a few short hours of sleep so many of us got up to take part in this event. To stand out in the crowd of 20,000 my team and I decided to dress up in some Canada outfits. It was so much fun!!!
If you look close you can see me on the left side.
So many peopled stopped up and wanted to get their pictures taken with us in our tutus :)
Another highlight of my trip was the day I got to meet the woman that changed my life. Before I joined Beachbody I was a stay-at-home mom that was stuck in a rut, I wasn't living life, I was just going through the motions. When I joined my first program was Piyo with Chalene Johnson. I instantly feel in love with the program and with her motivation. She pushed me to push myself and I truly believe that had I not started with that program and with her, I wouldn't be where I am today and I wouldn't be the person I am today- confident, strong and capable! I also had the amazing opportunity to workout LIVE with her twice which was amazing too. Definitely some memories I will cherish forever!

Another highlight of my trip was the day we went on the City Tour. This was something that I had really wanted to do and it was incredible. We toured around in a bus that took us to a local cemetery, through the 9th Ward (which was the hardest hit during Hurricane Katrina), through the Garden District, French Quarter, along Lake Pontchartrain and to City Park.
Seeing the after effects of Hurricane Katrina, hearing the stories and walking the streets that were once flooded with water was an experience I can't even put into words. The hardship that that city had to endure and the strength it took to overcome that devastation is unbelievable.
At the end of our tour we stopped in City Park. This park is bigger than Central Park in NYC and it was absolutely beautiful. We got to witness the I DO'S of a couple (and act as their witness which was so cool) and then just walk around and absorb the beauty. If you ever visit New Orleans, I highly recommend you check out City Park!!
A little cafe in the City Park. This was where we met the amazing couple that had just said their nuptials.
With some of my team.
This was such a beautiful spot!
Breathtaking!
